About City Island

City Island is a great place to spend the weekend or have a day of fun and play. It is located at the western end of Long Island Sound and Eastchester Bay. Once described as "Key West with street smarts," City Island is a small haven away from the hustle and bustle of nearby city life in Manhattan.

Accessible by road or water, it is one of the most unique neighborhoods of the Bronx. It is thirty minutes to New York City by nearby subway or expressway and is 40 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. Lower Fairfield County in Connecticut is 30 minutes away on I-95.
