The Fishing
Spider Hitch is a perfect
vessel for fly fishing, drift fishing, as well as for all "skinny
water" situations. Captain Steve will sail her to the places where he
thinks the fish are plentiful. This knowledge has come from years of
experience and success at fishing on Long Island Sound.
The target fish are striped
bass, bluefish, weakfish, fluke, porgies and blackfish depending on the time of year.
In addition, the captain will help you identify unique waterfowl and other
sights that provide fun along the way.
What to bring
Bring clothing appropriate for
the time of year - a long sleeved technical shirt for sun protection and boat
shoes or sneakers, for example. Foul weather gear and boots are wet weather
essentials.
